OVERVIEW
GEBRABIT Rain Sensor is a resistive moisture sensor
GEBRABIT Rain Sensor with a series of exposed copper traces together acts as a variable resistor (just like a potentiometer) whose resistance varies according to the amount of water on its surface. This sensor is a resistive dipole based only on moisture, showing the resistance. For example, it shows more resistance when it is dry and less resistance when wet.
The analog output is used to detect drops in the amount of rainfall.
The OUT LED will turn on when the induction board has no raindrop and DO output is high. When dropping little water, DO output is low, and the OUT LED will turn on. Brush off the water droplets, and when restored to the initial
State, outputs high level. Also, users can adjust the sensitivity with On Board Potentiometer.
