OVERVIEW

GebraBit ICM20649 is a World’s First Wide-Range 6-axis MotionTracking module that integrates a 3-axis gyroscope, and 3-axis accelerometer with an On-Chip 16-bit ADC.

GebraBit ICM20649 module can operate with “1V8” or “3V3” supply Voltages by Considered “VDD SEL” jumper selector. Also, there is another jumper named “VDIO SEL “, which is regarded to select the logic level voltage of module I/O pins between “1V8” or “3V3”. This feature helps to use a wide range of microcontrollers for interfacing with this module.

User can interface with GebraBit ICM20649 by either I2C or SPI protocol. This is achieved by dedicated four jumper selectors on the top right of the GebraBit ICM20649 module. Furthermore, the last jumper selector (Fifth) is considered for setting the I2C address.

One another important issue of GebraBit ICM20649  is that besides accessing the FSYNC and INT pins of the sensor, the auxiliary I2C interface of ICM20649 is available on GEBRABUS. As a result, this allows data from external sensors (such as magnetometers) to be read through the module.

ICM20649 includes Programmable Filters that it is suitable for Sports and High Impact Applications. Many of today’s wearable and sports solutions, which analyze the motion of a user’s golf or tennis swings, soccer ball kicks, or basketball activities, require higher than currently available ±2000 DPS (degrees per second) FSR for gyroscope and ±16g FSR for the accelerometer to better ensure that critical data is not lost at the point of high impact or high-speed rotation. The ICM-20649 6-axis inertial sensor offers the smallest size, lowest profile, and lowest power in conjunction with industry-leading high FSR. With an extended FSR range of ±4000 DPS for gyroscope and ±30g for accelerometer, the ICM-20649 enables precise analysis of contact sports applications providing continuous motion sensor data before, during, and after impact providing more accurate feedback.
